Wikipedia: Squares Quarter
Our quarter is variously referred to as:
- Quartier des Squares – this encompasses mostly the area of family housing erected from the late 19th century on a geometric pattern around the row of squares: Marguerite, Ambiorix, Palmerston and Marie-Louise.
- Quartier Européen – because the bulk of European Institutions and related organizations are in our neighbourhood.
- Quartier Nord-Est – an old (and geographically inaccurate) denomination still used by some.
